Terms of Service
Last updated: October 11, 2026
These terms apply to the Solocut desktop app and the website solocut.app, provided by JapanMarketing LLC (“we”). By using Solocut you agree to them.
The software
Solocut is open-source software under the MIT License. It is free to use, copy, modify and distribute under that license. Third-party tools that Solocut downloads on demand (such as FFmpeg and whisper.cpp) are subject to their own licenses.
Your content and accounts
Your recordings, projects and videos are yours. Solocut processes them on your computer and does not claim any rights to them. You are responsible for having the rights to what you record and post, and for the accounts you connect.
Editing is done by the AI agent you choose (for example Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI) under your own subscription; your use of those services is subject to their providers’ terms.
YouTube
Solocut uses YouTube API Services to post your videos to your channel after you press OK. By connecting your Google account you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s Privacy Policy applies to data handled by Google. You can revoke Solocut’s access at any time at Google security settings or by disconnecting in Solocut.
TikTok
If you connect TikTok, videos are posted to your account under TikTok’s Terms of Service and community guidelines. Nothing is posted until you press OK.
No warranty
Solocut is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from its use, including lost data or content posted by mistake. Please review your video and its post settings before pressing OK.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
